Responsible Service of Gambling

Why do I need RSG?
Because on the 1st October 2010, it is mandatory for certain people involved in Queensland's gaming industry to have a current RSG course certificate. BARS Training Australia is an approved trainer with the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) to issue this State Government qualification.

Is BARS Training Australia approved by OLGR?
We sure are. You can check with OLGR to confirm that we are on the Approved Trainers Public Register

Are their any prerequisites?
Yes, all participants should also have basic language, literacy and numeracy skills and are required to identify if they require language, literacy and numeracy support prior to enrolment. Participants can also ask for language, literacy and numeracy support through the website if they find they are experiencing difficulties. All information provided to BARS Training Australia is kept in strict confidence in line with AQTF guidelines. For more information on language, literacy and numeracy please refer to the BARS Training Australia Student Handbook.

What's the Student Handbook all about?
The BARS Training Australia Student Handbook contains our training policies and procedures. Participants are responsible for reading all relevant materials provided on the website including the BARS Training Australia Student Handbook and the information about courses prior to enrolment. If the participant decides to proceed with enrolment, it will be accepted by all parties that they have read the Student Handbook and agree with all the Terms and Conditions prior to commencing your training.

Ok, sounds good, so what's the process?
Once a participant has entered all required enrolment information, the system will immediately email the course login information to the participant. The participant's enrolment however, is placed on hold until full payment for the course is received through a number of payment options.

Should payment be done through the use of a credit card or through Paypal this hold will be removed instantly on a successful payment being processed. This means that the participant can go straight to their email account and access the online resources without delay.

So how can I pay?
We have a number of payment choices available:

  • by credit card (Visa/Mastercard)
  • by PayPal
  • by direct deposit through online banking
  • by cheque or money order

Just choose the payment method at check-out that that you want to use.

Can I get a refund if I want?

That really depends on the situation. Our full refund policy is contained in our Student Handbook. All requests for refunds are to be made in writing on a Refund Request Form and needs to be accompanied by supporting documentation where applicable. This form can be obtained by contacting BARS Training Australia on (07)55290834.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

Why do I need RSA?
Because on the 1st January 2009, it became mandatory in Queensland for all staff involved in the service or supply of liquor, including approved managers, bartenders, glass collectors, floor hostesses and room service staff to have a current RSA training course certificate issued by an approved OLGR training organisation.
